Maria Monroy is an alumni of The University of Texas at Arlington where she majored in Spanish Translation and Interpretation with a minor in Mexican-American Studies. With a desire to keep translating after college, Maria decided to pursue the literary world and currently works at DLZ Entertainment. Maria's translations have been published by Poo-Pourri, The University of Texas at Arlington, the City of Arlington, Proyecto Inmigrante, among many. Maria's original work has been published in Genre Urban Arts. Maria plans to keep building her literary translation and writing career.
During her free time, Maria enjoys reading, watching anime and spending time with her family and pets.
